Camera & Screening Acting Courses Australia
The Talent Company of Australia's Short Courses are a great way for young people to gain intensive, concentrated learning in Screen Acting techniques. With personalised classes in groups of no more than 14, these weekly sessions provide specific instruction in particular areas of acting. These classes are great for both Drama and Musical Theatre students to learn more of what it takes to succeed on the large and small screens!
These courses are open to everyone - you do not have to be a TCA member or Stage School Australia student to participate.
SCREEN ACTING 101
Starting on April 24th for 7 weeks
Interested in acting for Film, TV and commercials? Acting for the camera is vastly different to performing on stage and being proficient in both stage and screen acting is imperative for young actors wanting to excel in the entertainment industry.
This 7 week course with Australian actor Hannah Monson will give students a strong grounding in the fundamentals of performing in front of the camera.
Students will learn about:
- set etiquette
- taking direction
- script analysis
- character development
- camera technique
This is a great opportunity to learn from one of Australia’s most experienced television actors.
Hannah is an accomplished actor whose recent roles include the award-winning ABC television series Glitch, for which she earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2015 AACTA Awards and the 2016 Silver Logie Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer, Seven Network’s Winners & Losers, and the HBO series The Leftovers.

Intermediate Session 10-12 yr olds, 5.15pm – 6.45pm, $280
Senior Session 13+ year olds, 7.00pm – 9.00pm, $350
