Frequently Asked Questions
What will my child be learning?
Throughout the day, students will be taken through a variety of fun sessions, including:
Singing – A group singing session focused on vocal projection, lyric learning, and performance skills.
Dancing – Learn a fun routine to an upbeat song, focusing on movement, sequencing, and body and spatial awareness.
Dress Ups – With a selection of costumes from Beginners OnStage’s fabulous wardrobe, students can explore character and dress up as whoever they choose.
Puppets – Learn how to create your own hand puppet using simple craft materials, which you can then take home to play with.
What is the skill level required to participate?
No experience necessary! Our Creative Play Workshop is designed for all skill levels — a fun, supportive space where kids can build confidence, try new things, learn exciting skills and make new friends along the way.
Who will be teaching this workshop?
Our workshops are led by a team of talented Stage School Beginners OnStage teachers. With experience in both performing arts and early childhood education, our teachers are passionate about creating a fun, supportive environment where little ones can learn, grow and shine.
Is the Creative Play Workshop content the same across the different locations?
Yes — the Creative Play Workshop follows a structured curriculum and will be consistent across all locations. Some activities may vary slightly depending on the teacher leading each session.
Do you need to be a Stage School student to participate?
Nope - we’re open to all young creatives!
Current Stage School students are highly encouraged to participate, as workshop content differs from our regular weekly classes
Will there be breaks & should we pack food?
Yes - students will have multiple short breaks throughout the day, including a 30-minute lunch break. Please ensure students bring enough food and water to keep them fuelled for a big day of Creative Play!
